Nature dayS and lonelY Nghts.-

Once again it's pretty late and instead of doing my presentation questions for uni tomorrow I've decided I get more joy from writing about the various lovely and often mundane things that fill my life... ironic how I find the mundane far more interesting than uni work...(???)

So, today I started off on my way to Uni, and while walking I thought it would be enjoyable to take a few snaps of some awesome patterns that have inspired more outfit ideas of mine.
Unfortunately I whilst being stuck in the middle of a busy intersection I became the only witness of a car accident and was compelled to help out. To be completely honest, at first I was ready to walk away (... you know; to avoid being involved in overly dramatic situations??). But I've always heard it's illegal just to bail if you were the only witness to things of that nature.

By the time I was released from my 'witnessing duties' I was already late for my tutorial class and so instead of roaming around the campus looking for things I that screamed "unsusually stupendous" I began taking photos of all the things around me whilst scurrying down my usual route to the tute (poetic eh?)... Mostly it was the shades of brown from the trees coupled with green hues of the foliage which I found super striking and just couldn't get enough of ...

...Which would explain why I spent most of my tute fiddling around looking at the pictures on my camera instead of actually doing any work!!
Here's what came up....

I rather enjoyed my little walk to be honest. It almost felt as though I was channelling one of those trees from the Neverending story, you know? the ones that walk and talk and are always grumpy??? hmm... maybe, minus the moodswings.

Never the less, on to some of the things I've seen lately that are utterly amazing!
First of there has been something I've absolutely desired for months, it's of course a gorgeous hat, and I know from talking to my mum I should probably let up on my desire to have it, however I think she's naying that mainly cause she doesnt believe in wearing hats during winter.... THE FOOL!!!

Anyway, finding this particular style of hat has been an absolute NIGHTMARE as it's so damn rare. But just the other day, I was browsing ebay (despite my inability to buy anything off it due to my horrid technology skills... seriously, if you mix me, clothes, a computer, and online exchanges of money... you're just begging for some drama) and suddenly I came across somehting so similar to my dream hat that I decided it was fate and literally ran around my college block asking if people knew how to work the crazy pay-pal jazz. Sadly No-one did. :(
However I feel like I must share with you guys the beauty of Lilly Dache Hats!!!

Lilly Dache Hats. My Joy!

MY OH-SO-DESIRED HAT!
PeterPan inspired (it's like the boy that never grew up, meets a bowler hat!)

I'm not crazy about the straw-like material, but hey, it still looks insanley amazing!

JVERFN9IB NIB NGFIWr432tvfgrecv34W!!!!! They're so beautiful I just can't contain it!!! :D The sheer kooky-ness of the hats combined with the elegance of the 1940's make-up styles and black and white photography is absolute genius. The photographs kinda make me wonder if this is what the love child of Alice in Wonderland's, the Mad Hatter and the gorgeous Ava Gardener would look like. :S

Anyway until I either annihilate or am annihilated by my oncoming exams, there will be little heard from me for a while. So sorry guys!!!! But I'll be sure to find some more glorious things (during study procrastination time) so never fear!!!
Oh I wanna leave you with this awesome Indian inspired picture I found when I googled the word "annihilate"!!! (I would deffinitely love this on a bag or shirt!)

I think its of Durga and Kali killing Raktabija, but you can just think of it as me battling my way through exams.... Although I think I would prefer to be the individual on the tiger as:
1. I dont like the idea of being the RED DEMON with arrows flying at me (thats more suited to what I wanna do to the exam) and
2. The other saggy busted individual whose tongue is the size of a highway doesnt seem to take my fancy either. No idea why.... ;)

Okay guys,
Cetch ....isha.

Taking a Leaf from others...

Good 'almost' early morning Perth-ians,
isha is wide awake and I'm feeling for the dealing of some of my fashion loves. (urgh, sorry for the severe cheezzzzeeee.... maybe I'm not as awake as I claim to be???)
Ah yes, But before I go into too much detail, lets deal with a few of the formalities shall we? (Hope you don't mind!!)

Okay!
Although I've written many blog entries for cheap personal thrills I've never been able to keep a consistent turnout. So this year I decided that this was IT! 2010 would be the year I would get serious. You see, I've always loved writing and countless means of creative expression but being a student for more than three quarters of my life hasn't allowed me much time to pursue the things that bring me joy. Now, don't get me wrong... school wasn't all that bad, but there are just so many things I could never get my brain around - Actually, while I was in high school, I found myself struggling in just about everything I did. I remember spending almost all of my time studying to make sure I could keep up with other people cause to be honest, I'm can be quite the perfectionist. Yeah, one of those people who hates to look like an idiot in front of others....but then again, I suppose most people are that way too- no? Never the less, it's always been my dream to so something artistic with my life; I never got maths, was a hazard to science, and at sports; well let's just say I feigned sick for almost all my fitness classes. The only thing I've ever had luck with lies within the Arts.

Out and About in general:
Mostly, I spend a considerable amount of time roaming the Goodwill/ Charity stores of Perth for clothes that help me remain in my fantasy worlds. These have been creations I've developed over the years. My Fantasies. Every time I put on a new outfit, it allows me to become someone different- the ideal individual. I think feeling as though each outfit grants me a new clean slate where I can be the 'mathematical genius', the 16th century 'English rose' or the 'indie-folk talent' with skills great enough to rival those of Simon and Garfunkel.

Getting back on track...

Today I found one of the most adorable Sydney-an (I do believe I've just created a new word) Fashionistas and aspiring music artists. Her name is Daixiaole and honestly the clothing she makes is truly adorable.
With light-hearted prints and off-beat colours to die for, I've been inspired to get my own credit card just so I can order some of these delightful treasures!!!

My favourite piece would have to be her Candy Candy T-shirt, which coupled with a pair of white tights and brightly coloured pumps would look super sweet while marching down Hay Street Mall.

"A guaranteed head-turner!" (Candy Candy Tee and White tights featured can be found in Daixiaole's online shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/daixiaole)

Oh jeez, I suppose I best be hitting my bed soon- which strangely, is at present, covered from head to toe in foliage ....(???)

Yeap, it seems that while I was out and left my door open, I was visited by either the entire cast of the Avatar movie or by some of my good friends who have obviously decided my interior decorating to be far too bland and in need of serious remodelling...

I'll leave you with a mild taste of how it looked after I cleaned up a bit... do mind the rest of the mess though, it wasn't exactly my intention to share the turmoil that is my room with all of you straight away.

Ai mia!....isha.
