Today, Tomorrow and Yester-year.

"If the Doc Marten fits, wear it! If it doesnt...
you better jam your foot in that shoe so it bloody well does son! "

Time has escaped me since the holidays began. Or rather, it seems that I've been overwhelmed with the amount of free time. So overwhelmed in fact that I have on many occasion spent long hours (Shockingly) doing absolutely nothing at all. But FINALLY, after many long hours of ceiling-gazing I have been motivated to write!! Possibly because today was the day that I decided to apply for a job; its one which I have been dying to undertake ever since I heard about the wacky fashion stores over east. Dangerfield. This store practically SCREAMS amazing! I can remember a while back talking to some of my friends who lives east-side of the big O.Z and having them brag over and over to me about how cool some of the stuff they bought was... Seriously, Dangerfield practically revived the Hamburger-Fone (well that and Ellen Page's quirky portrayal of Juno....Seriously, what better way to tell someone you're knocked up than on a Hamburger-fone!!?? - God, that should deffinitely be their new product slogan!!)
Back on track, so anyway I'm writing up my resume` and at the same time realising how difficult it can be to prove that you can be a good addition to the store, ah, but then I simply think of my favourite things and then I don't feeeeeeeeeel sooooooo baaaaddd......
Oh good Lord, I just quoted my all time least favourite movie!! ABSOLUTELY Shameful :)

So here are some of my Favourite Dangerously coverted goodies from the store of my dreams!
Seriously I can't help thinking about these things without playing a good song that fits the mood. and Electric Six's "Danger! High Voltage" is the epitome of hardcore Dangerfield style songs.
Edgy but still oozing that retro cool vibe. So the vid is a little crazy???... and yet,
you can't help but love it!!

Loving the Dangerfield Revival Fashions!

Wolf-ish. Too cool for School DF Jumper

Ah, it seems I'm experiencing that gorgeous warm tingley feeling just by looking at these pictures...Or it may just be that I'm extremely content in my bed with the electric blanket turned to full power like a regualr old granny. All I need now are some patch work quits, a few golli-wog dolls, nanna-needles and some tea in an antique china cup.
Hmmm nanna-needles... sounds as if grandma's about to shoot up... maybe scratch that idea :S
Regardless of nanna getting her fix, I think it's about time for me to bid thee farewell. But before I go, I suppose it's only right to leave you with some food for thought, in other words.... to show you all a picture of the infamous HAMBURGER-FONE!!!

Now that's one hell of a tasty way to talk!
You can call me anytime baby!! ;)

Except for now...
Now, I sleep.

Short but Delicious; MasterChef & Moustaches!

It's official; I'm addicted to Masterchef!

Yes, I do know that half the Australian public is also hooked on this show, that's probably why it's aired almost everyday of the week (pretty sure Saturday's the only day I can't bask in it's glory!).
Anyway, this was destined to be a short post just to emphasise this fact and because honestly it's got me really interested in MOUSTACHES!! Possibly because as a kid every chef that featured on tv had one... god I wish women could have them!!!.... errr well maybe not, but regardless, I just think they add so much character to any outfit! :S

Take a look....

These trippy 'Moustache Mugs' can be found at peterbruegger.com

On another note,
I happened to have roamed the Markets of Fremantle in search of some fine looking things a while back (when my hair was orange and loooooongggg); and ended up buying a nifty woven hat and Rockin` Mick Jaggeerrrrrrr tee! I only just recovered these photos and they made me smile so I thought I'd share them. I quite like the vibe of the markets, Very warm and friendly and always ready for uncovering a bargain.

I'm now trying to concentrate and type over the strange Mexicana music coming from the glorious picture box (AKA tele-visi-on) as my sister has suddenly switched to some strange show much like Underbelly.... I do believe I am going to have to wrestle her for control of the tv....

Dying Dirty Digging for Treasure.

The lyrics of one of my favourite songs "Dying Dirty Digging for Treasure" by the superb Rocket Summer. Holds true when you think about it. When there is something so precious you'd deffinitely be willing to get down and dirty for it, or 'die' at least figuratively (You know??? the feeling where you're convinced that without it you'd die???).....
Speaking of treasures, I've really been interested in the pirate look as of late, I don't know about many other people, but I just seem to find it so appealing during winter. Bright colours that boldly stare down the drab of Winter woes; with head scarves, gold jewellery, and my new found fetish; the classic English pirate button down shirt!!!!

These photos feature the Anna Sui `07 Runway Collection, however with thigh high boots making a somewhat hurried comeback, along with the BBJ movement (Big Bold Jewellery), it will only be a matter of time before someone re-creates this amazing look for 2010! My advice: Argh, get ye bootay cracking on ideas matiesss!!! (God that was horrid :S ).
Forgive my horrid Piratey-tone, I tend to get overly worked up about good clothes!

On another less piratey note, here are some other tid-bit's I've been adoring for a while....

Tights; Yeah I'm crazy about them! and the weirder the patterns on them, THE BETTER!
Even though I may be slightly on the "AHHHH DON'T LOOK!!! COVER THEM ALL WITH A BLANKET"- side when it comes to revealing my pins, I still think every girl... and even really 'game' guy, should give the tights/ leggings trend full attention. If you're not comfortable with your legs, as I am with mine, then try dark tights with small details, rather than light coloured with large shapes and patterns on them, but honestly, it always burns down to your personality- If you wanna wear it, then GO FOR IT!!!
These Gorgeous pieces hail from my already mentioned love; Diaxole, whose other creative pieces can be found in previous posts.
So here they are guys, the tights of a century!

OoooOOOOohHhHhhhhh......

AaaaAaaaHhhhHHH............

Come to MMmmmUUuuuMMaaaAA!!!!

Anyhow I must bid ye adieu! (Which is French for... Blah I've gotta go meet my Aunt in the city) But first, I shall leave you with a picture of how to properly discipline you're male-friend, boyfriend, husband, best friend or ever complete stranger.

Throw them in a washing machine! It's bigger than a Japanese capsule hotel room, yet just small enough to make them suffer. Seriously, You know you wanna try it! Ah well, that's all from my sadistic side for today. >:)

Another lonely night in a single bed, with a single sock on one singularly warmer foot.On the bright side, exams have almost come to a close and from then I shall be free!!!....Or at least really bored. Although it has been my new goal for the up-and-coming holidays to:
1. Go on my long overdue diet. As during the study break I've stacked on the pounds by using 'food breaks' as a reason to stop myself from studying.... needless to say I have both a lot of breaks and eat a lot of food (Although I did manage to discover the joy that is Mcvities Digestive Chocolate covered biscuits.... Honestly, they are absolute Heaven!)
2. And secondly, I intend to drag out my aunts old sowing machine the minute I get home and whip up a few dresses for the on coming social events of next semester (Balls, dinners, costume parties... THE LOT!) This would most likely be after a few weeks of my shedding kilos on my diet, so hopefully I'll be able to come up with some good outfits and put the pics up in a later post(:

Now, on to my day so far...Absolutely Nothing! Being busy with study and also being a juvie doesn't really allow me the luxury of having much of an exciting life so far. However this is all about to change soon! Regardless, last night I managed to escape the confines of my desk and my study-packed brain by roaming Kings Park with a few friends and then later surfacing at the Gorgeous Moon cafe` in Northbridge.
There are a few interesting snaps that came out of my Kings Park Adventures, which initially began as a friends "Declaration Night of Love" (or so I titled it in my head). He wanted to take a beautiful photograph of the city for the girl he loves before she leaves to return to another country....*girlish squeel* sounds like a scene in a Romance movie, doesn't it? :)
Okay so here's what I ended up doing at 11pm in 4 degrees weather during the "Declaration Night of Love"

This Happens to be my favourite photo of the night.
It's a shame it's so hard to see anything
:(

Yeah, it was indeed a crazy night, But I enjoyed every minute of it... Although I'll probably regret it as soon as I get my exam results back. Anyhow, This week I've taken quite a shining to Over sized oriental/tribal/ ethnic jewellery~ and of course, no-one does big, beautiful collaborations of quirky bling than Athenian designer Maria Mastori. Wood, silk, silver, agate, tassels, rock crystal.... doesn't matter.... it's all found in her eye-catching pieces!!!

Not only is her Jewellery incredible but Mastori credits herself by coupling very bold accessories with soft earthy colours and flowing fabrics. Truly inspiring~ If only I could walk around little old Perth in something this outrageous!

Anyway, study awaits.
Bye-bye...isha. x
